/ August 3, 2011I enjoyed visiting your shop this Spring when I came home to Muscatine. My family lived in Muscatine for many years. I live in the Minneapolis, MN area. I am an avid knitter, spinner and fiber enthusiast. I would like information on the knitted donation projects that you have. Currently I knit baby hats for my patients ( I am a nurse midwife). I would like to knit some of the projects you mentioned and send them to you to donate.
Thank you for your reply.

/ August 28, 2011Hi Francy;
Not sure if you will get this anytime soon but I just wanted to send a huge thank you for coming up to Bancroft and teaching the sock knitting class.
Yea! I have finished the second one and so now I have a pair..who knew…I am so excited to understand the heel turn thingy and it’s all thanks to you and your happy teaching skills.
It was a nice time and I hope you had a good time too.
Take good care and
Happy knitting,
Catherine

/ September 9, 2011Thank you for your interest. I accept stocking hats in wool. Colors of black, gray, college colors, and red/white/blue striped, with or without stars. Our troops always take pride in wearing the red/white/blue. We also supply hats to barge seamen and ones on freighters. I use to give out patterns for these, but there are so many patterns that are nice and fit well, I let people do now, what they want to do. Just remember to do ribbed bottoms and nothing that folds up. Hats need to fit under helmets. They request no brown/green/tan. nothing camoflauge at all. Again, thank you so much. This project is very dear to our hearts.
